About Me

I am a College & Career Counsellor at Manthan International School, Hyderabad. My mission at Manthan is to help high school students make well-informed decisions about colleges and careers based on their own passion and skills rather than on preconceived notions or external perception.

I do this through a robust 4-year high school curriculum that includes classroom sessions as well as seminars, talks, panels, workshops and various other avenues for helping students discover what they want to do and how to get there. I have always had a passion for helping people with their college/job applications, resumes and interviewing skills. During my 13-year career in finance and technology at some of the world’s most prestigious financial services institutions, I have helped numerous juniors and peers successfully apply to the top business schools in the world, recruited from top business schools, and mentored several young people. After the birth of my children, I took a break from the corporate world.

From 2016-18, I was actively involved at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, where I taught spoken English to visually challenged youth, and also helped them create resumes and conducted mock interviews to aid them in their job search. This experience helping young people is what led me to my present role. The skills I have gained from my extensive experience working in multiple industries globally and across functions, have helped me immensely in my current role. In addition to this, having personally gone through both a traditional admissions process (for doing my undergraduate degree in Engineering from NIT Trichy) and a holistic admissions process (for doing my MBA from NYU Stern school of business), I am able to understand the intricacies of both.
